What happens when schools re-open?

We’ve just received an update from a contact within the DES regards what is the situation when children in receipt of Supplementary Programme hours return to school.

The good news is that they can continue to benefit from the Supplementary Programme when they return to school.

If you have not yet applied for the Supplementary Programme you can still do so. It runs until the end of April, contact your school Principal as they must sign off section 1 of the application form.

The programme offers 20 hours of additional supports, in blocks of 5 hours per week outside of normal school hours or weekends.

Any or all of the unused 20 hours that they’re entitled too can be used over the Easter 2 week break.
