Down Syndrome and the Provision Scheme

Unread post by admin_bbw » Apr 30th, '18, 15:56

Regards Down Syndrome and the provision scheme we raised the following question with the Dept of Education on behalf
of followers who raised a query with us.

Q) Is Down Syndrome deemed an eligible condition under the “Severe/Profound” condition rule?

In response the Dept stated

July provision is an extension of the school year for children with an Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or a severe/profound General Learning Disability. A child with Downs Syndrome would not always fall into the category of Severe/profound general learning disability. The category of disability should be stated in the child’s psychological assessment.

If you have any questions about the scheme and how it works please feel free to message us or alternatively email us using Support@JulyProvision.com.
