Hi, my name is Amy, and I would love to work with you and your child(ren)!
I love helping people, and particularly love working with children, especially with their learning and schoolwork / homework.
I am hoping to start primary teaching in Mary I next year as a mature student (and am planning to start an access course for the programme this year).
Qualification wise, at the moment, I;
- Have completed an Irish Level 5 and 6 Special Needs Assistant (SNA) Certificate
- Have completing a UK Level 3 / Irish Level 5 Supporting Teaching and Learning (Teaching Assistant) Diploma and am awaiting my final results / certificate (A TA is more of a general classroom assistant rather than being specifically focused on special educational needs like an SNA is)
- Have completed a UK Level 5 / Irish Level 7 Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) Diploma
- Have completed my Junior and Leaving Certificate
Then in terms of my experience of working with children, I;
- I recently worked as an after-school childcare assistant in a local crèche, so work with kids aged 2-10 each day (and helped them with homework and meals, and supervised them whilst they play and eat)
- I have done lots of babysitting in the past, and have minded kids ranging from babies up to older primary school kids
- My mum childminds two toddlers, and had minded other babies, toddlers and primary school kids before, so help / have helped her with minding them
- In TY, I did work experience in both a local preschool and a local primary school, and helped to teaching basic French to older primary school pupils
I already have Garda Vetting from my childcare assistant job, but am happy to undergo it again if necessary.
I am in Nenagh so would be happy to work anywhere in the general Nenagh area.
I look forward to hearing from you and getting to know you and your child!
